Historic photos: "Great to be in the sun"
Last updated at 12:09, Monday, 13 April 2009
WE always hope for some great ‘sitting out’ weather at Easter, but tend to be left disappointed.
This set of pictures from the 1930s is from a bundle of Barrow items being sold at Furness Auctions in School Street next Sunday.
They are believed to show friends and relatives of the Hendersons of Carlton Avenue, Barrow.
The location of one of the pictures is Biggar Bank, Walney, and the others look to be taken during an outing in the area between Askam and Kirkby.
The pictures can be viewed at the School Street salerooms on Thursday to Saturday, from 11am to 4pm.
