Selling a slice of country life in Kirkby
Published at 11:54, Tuesday, 07 April 2009
THE pace of life in Kirkby has quickened a fair bit since this pair of pictures was taken.
They are part of a large collection of images captured on glass plate negatives and being sold tomorrow at Kendal Auction Rooms.
They were spotted and chosen to feature at auction by expert David Barbie during the BBC Flog It! valuation day held at St Bernard’s School, Barrow.
We don’t know who took the pictures but perhaps you know more about the people shown on them? Contact Bill Myers at the Memories Page.
You can find out how well these and many other Flog It! objects were rated by the bidders in Thursday’s Evening Mail.
